It started as a minor obsession. The last blog, that is.
Craft Schmaft was meant as a distraction, a place to blog about the crafty things while on maternity leave. Then it grew, featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, Inside Out magazine… the Wall Street Journal. A minor obsession became a major business of print, colour, patterns and textiles. I loved it. But a career opportunity and international move (with my partner, two little kids and a misbehaving cavoodle) meant I had to let it go.
The minor obsession has never left me. It even turned into two-years of interiors study in Copenhagen. So this is a new playground for sharing the things I’m doing and loving. Tales of colour, celebrations of print and pattern, feverish excitement over tiles and adventures in far flung places. Here I’ll share my adventures in creativity in the hope that someone, perhaps like you, has a minor obsession too.
Will it catch on? Who knows, but like a good old sparkler I’m holding the lighter out with butterflies, hoping for a moment it sputters into life.
